Jaime Banks

Dr. Banks is an Assistant Professor of Communication Studies and Research Associate in the Interaction Lab (#ixlab) at West Virginia University. Her research focuses on human-technology relationships and the mutual influences of communication technology and human identities. She has published more than 20 original research articles and delivered more than 40 national and international research talks on these topics, and currently serves as the Chair (and founding member) of the National Communication Association’s Game Studies Division. Outside of the the academy, she enjoys spending time with her rescue pups, maining a hunter in World of Warcraft, making poor contributions to her trivia team, and exploring Netflix’s anime collection (FMA ftw, though). Follow her at @amperjay, email her at jabanks@mail.wvu.edu, or check out some of her research.
